Happy 2011!!!!!

Happy 2011!!!!!!!!! Of course, my wish is good health for my family! Like my dad always say, if you don't have good health, you won't be able to enjoy the happiness or wealth that comes along. Following that of course is happiness and wealth.

Well this year's challenge is that my hubby will be away from me most of the time. Yes, he is finally venturing into his home country to work. I guess its good for him too.. at least its a new adventure,, a new beginning, a new culture. At least, he can live not having the feeling of not having the opportunity to work in his own country. Thou, i somewhat disagree that i was the reason that had took this chance away from him after he finished his studies, there is some truth to it. And I am still thankful that D had made his decision to come to the lion city in 2001 to start his career and be with me.

My hope and wish is for D to have a great career.. and have money money pouring into my pockets and bank account ;-) no stress okie babe .. haha

Anyway, happy 2011 everyone. May all your hopes and wishes come true!

32nd Birthday

Ohh no.. i am getting old... i stop keeping track of my age.. and i can;t seem to remember if i am 32 or 33 ;-( Also.. the reason for this late post is i had forgotten my username and password... haha... Hence, this belated post..

This year, i got a lovely present from Sparrow and Bro from snail mail.. Luv the handmade card... the cupcake pops out from the card! .. with a touch of sparkles as sprinkles..



the gift is also very well tot of.. The girl stamp is picked from Bro and the wordings is picked from Sparrow.. its my fav gift.. coz... i love stamps!!! I have a stash of stamps at home.. i think D will call me a stampaholic.. haha..



Will post another time, the card that i created from the 2 stamps.

Well.. thou we can't control the passing time, thou we can't control alot of things.......I am happy that at least we are fortunate and blessed to be in this part of the world whereby there is peace, harmony and stablity.

Side track,,, i saw a bunch of handmade cards for sale at a bookshop.. and my eyes almost popped ...not because its nice,, but i think.. it was alittle sloppy and simple to be sold. I guess thats why if you do something in quantity,, u may loss the quality... Sparrow.. Yes.. our cards are definately much better then theirs!!!!

Gloxinia, Gloxina

Recently i am crazy/obsessed over my precious Gloxinia babies ;-) I have 2 in purple and 1 in red.

They are spolit breed of plant, whereby i need to water it from bottom up... haha.. but the blooms are what i look forward to. Anyway, the leafy green leaves are also a pleasant sight.

I didn't take a photo today but will do one soon as one flower bud is about to bloom.

I think have to try taking care of my gloxinia longer so as to know whether i have the gloxinia fingers.

Ohh yah,, i also bought another plant... starts with a b... but i forgot the name suddenly... crap i am getting old.. need some ginko boost.. anyway.. its a "b..." rose... haha.. i bought it cause its flowers looks like mini roses .........cool.

Ohh yah.. i went to Chinese Garden with D last Sat.. (no photos),,, but it was a fun and free walk.. Fun cos i never been to Chinese Garden.. hmmm.. nothing much there but its lited, with some lanterns.. but i think its okay for a free park...

House plants- 2,3,4,5,6 ...and many more to come

With D chasing me, here's all the house plants i have indoor right now.. (ok.. not all coz we had recently added a few more.. )

1st plant in the picture is in my service balcony.. its my mini herb and vege garden.. haha..i had planted mint and basil .. as for veg, i have planted 3 beans... its real fun seeing my beanies grow..



2nd picture- The bamboo has been in my living room for a long long time.. the other was a taken from my outdoor garden (yes, i have a outdoor garden as well... haha).and it seem to thrive in that vase..



3rd and 4th pictures- I just these 2 are D's fav, coz he personally chose them and had them replanted in volcanic and a indoor vase with indicator.etc.




Well.. i must compliment D for this TLC to the plants ;-) Yes, it is soley to his credit.. coz he ensure the well-being of the plants.. plays music to them, ensures that their leaves are clean .. waters them .. I am sure they luv him back as well.

House plant 1 - The Thrio

Introducing, house plant 1. This is the latest edition to our home ;) Bought it from Far East Flora Queenstown branch (our latest weekend hangout) last saturday.

Guess where is it placed.. its in our study room.. in between D and mine desk.
Having a bit of greenery in the room does liven the mood up..

I guess we caught the "green" fever..after going to the garden festival 2010.. having a green house is really really quite our dream....but its not easy doing it in a HDB setting, whereby there isn't much sunshine coming in the house.

Giving a count, i think we have 6 houseplants in the house. (not including the ones in the service balcony and outside our house)...

That reminds mine...Woot Woot to D for helping to change the pots and soil for some of our "old" plants in our little garden... D almost sprain his back.. .. . But all is well worth the cause if our babies grow stronger and leafier ;-)

Gearing Up

Hi all,, yes, i am gearing up....... to start blogging again. ;-)

Haha... its been quite a while... i did think of my Haven everytime i wanted to share nice and cool stuff with all my secret stash of contacts ;-)

Quick updates, so that i can get things out of the way.

1) Work- Same old Same old..
2) Hobby- Card making ;-)
3) Interest with hubby now - House Plants
4) Status- Same- Happily married with no kids..
5) Happiness level- Great .. but can be better i do not need to work. ;-)

Okie.. okie.. i know.. its been really too long, but just be thankful that i still remember my password .. ;-)
